December has always been the holiday month with freezing and positive vibes. People are busy thinking about their New Year resolutions, spending time with friends and family, celebrating winters, shopping on discounted prices, and making plans to visit amazing and incredible places on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Talking about the New Years, I have collected these gorgeous places in India that you must visit to welcome 2018 with your friends and family.
Here is the list of these gorgeous places to visit in India to celebrate New Year
Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh
This beautiful snow-laden place has a colonial charm. Beautiful deodar forests, chilly snow-capped mountains, and the national Himalayan winter expedition makes this place perfect to visit in December. Located at an elevation of 2,400 meters above sea level, the beauty and charm of Dalhousie are as natural as a newly born child.
If you need some peace away from the hustle bustle of party people on New Year’s, you can take your stay Khajjiar, Chamba district, located at a distance of 24 km from Dalhousie. It is also known as mini Switzerland for its captivating beauty and similar appearance.
Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir
Located in the Udhampur district of Jammu & Kashmir, Patnitop is as beautiful as any other part of our golden bird Kashmir. However, there is something that makes it best for spending your new year’s eve.
What could be more enthralling than welcoming a new year with beautiful snowfall?
This hilltop station always experiences a heavy snowfall on 31st December every year without fail.
Goa
Talking about Christmas, no place can replace Goa. Filled with Roman Catholic population and it’s Portuguese legacy, Goa celebrates Christmas and New Year with full zeal and excitement. Mouth-watering sweet fragrances of Bakeries, fresh wines, and the beach vibes, and a lot of sing carols everywhere, you won’t find any of these at no other place but Goa. It’s already the party capital of India, but Christmas and New Year of Goa is to die for; Long night parties, no chilling snow but the ambiance itself is chilling and full of freedom. If liberty lies anywhere in India, it’s in Goa.
Ha-Ha, Also Goa being my favorite destination, I recommend it for New Year celebration. 😉
Dawki, Shillong
The only hill station accessible from all sides of India is Shillong. The beauty of shilling is not hidden from anybody, but Dawki has a place you must visit in December. The Unmgot river of Dwaki has crystal clear water which makes the boats, on the surface of the water, seem to be flying in mid-air. The pleasant weather and juicy oranges selling at the river shore adds more to the fun.
Not only that, but a lot many festivals are organized here in the month of December such as Pinjera Festival, Tura Winter Festival, and more.
Binsar, Uttarakhand
Binsar is located in the sky touching peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Pachachuli. It’s one of the best places to visit in December. Chilling mountains, dense forests, and incredible wildlife sanctuary makes it a captivating town. However, the real beauty of the place lies in the Zero Point of Binsar. It offers the panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks such as Kedarnath and Nanda Devi.
Being a writer, I just love the peace and beauty this beautiful place in Uttarakhand offers.
